Vyacheslav Pershin, Deputy General Director of Baltfuit Holding?s
comments:
"It is very important for us that Russia has finally a got
niche event for the fruit and vegetable industry. IFE Fresh Produce
is a great market place for everyone in the world involved in
fresh produce trade. We are sure that the exhibition will become
a key point to transfer the Russian fruit and vegetable market
into a new level. We wanted to become the General Sponsor contribute
into the development of IFE Fresh Produce and more opportunities
to Russian and international companies."
Starting business in 1993, Baltfruit has grown into one of the
top five Russian fresh produce importers and has developed extensive
contacts with top industry professionals throughout the world.
The partnership between Baltfruit and IFE Fresh Produce is considered
a real asset to the development of this niche event into Russia's
most important meeting platform for the fresh produce industry.
Christopher Newton, Chairman of Montgomery International comments:
"I am delighted with the news that one of the top Russian
fruit and vegetable importers, Baltfruit, has chosen to become
general sponsor of IFE Fresh Produce. Their valuable market knowledge
and industry contacts will bolster the visitor attendance for
2007 and help establish the event as Russia's most important trade
fair's for the fruit and vegetable industry. With the additional
country support we have achieved this year, on top of the returning
support, I am confident the event will build on the success of
the first edition of IFE Fresh Produce."
Other great news for the show is that many of the 22 countries
who supported the show in 2006 are returning, and new countries
represented this year include: Iran; USA, Malaysia; Serbia; South
Korea; Moldova; and Sri Lanka providing a stronger international
presence at the event.
Italy has an even stronger presence at IFE Fresh Produce 2007,
with group participation from the Chamber of Commerce of Padova,
the MacFrut pavilion, and MAAP from the Wholesale Market from
Padova.
Francesco Cera from MAAP explains his reason for returning to
the show this year,
"The results of MAAP's participation in IFE Fresh Produce
2006 speak for themselves; several firms working from the Padua
market have doubled their 2006 export receipts in Russia and have
already rung up last year's revenues in the first quarter of 2007.
As a result of this we have increased our participation at the
show this year and look forward to similar results in 2008!"
